Bill Bevan

William Arnold Bevan, Sr. (March 26, 1913 – August 26, 1975)[1] was an American football player and coach.

He played college football at the University of Minnesota and was a consensus selection at the guard position on the 1934 College Football All-America Team.

[2] He was a consensus first-team selection for the 1934 College Football All-America Team.

[3] He was also a boxer who won the Big Ten Conference boxing championship in the light heavyweight class.

During World War II, he served in the United States Army and attained the rank of lieutenant colonel.
