[2] After playing in the 2001 ICC Trophy in Ontario,[10] he returned to the Under-19 team for the 2002 Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand.

He successfully led the team to finish the tournament as plate runners-up[4] and defeat two ICC full members, Pakistan[11] and Bangladesh.

[19] He made first-class debut in March 2004 when he played for Nepal against the UAE in the 2004 ICC Intercontinental Cup.

Playing his debut match, he picked up 6 wickets including five-wicket haul in the first innings.
