Black Lake tram stop

It is on the West Midlands Metro that links Edgbaston with Wolverhampton and was opened on 31 May 1999.

The stop is near to the site of the former Swan Village railway station, which closed in 1972.

The latter is in the process of partly reopening as a Metro line between Wednesbury and Dudley (with planned extension to the Merry Hill Shopping Centre.

On Mondays to Fridays, West Midlands Metro services in each direction between Edgbaston Village and Wolverhampton St George's/Wolverhampton Station run at six to eight-minute intervals during the day, and at fifteen-minute intervals during the evenings and on Sundays.
