Blake Austin Mitchell (born August 3, 2004) is an American professional baseball catcher in the Kansas City Royals organization.
[2] As a junior, he was named the Texas Player of the Year after batting .465 with 17 doubles, seven home runs, and 52 RBIs as Sinton won the Class 4A State Championship.
[3][4] After the season, Mitchell was selected to play in the MLB and USA Baseball All-American Game.
[9][10] Mitchell was selected by the Kansas City Royals with the eighth pick in the first round of the 2023 Major League Baseball draft.
[11] He made his professional debut in 2023 with the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League Royals and was promoted to the Single-A Columbia Fireflies for the 2024 season.
