Blue Mound, Kansas

Blue Mound is a city in Linn County, Kansas, United States.

It was named by its first postmaster, John Q. Adams, because its elevation is said to look blue from a distance.

[4] According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.63 square miles (1.63 km2), all of it land.

[5] The 2020 United States census counted 219 people, 95 households, and 50 families in Blue Mound.

33.7% of households consisted of individuals and 17.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
