It usually grows on rainforest trees and is found in tropical North Queensland, Australia.
Rhinerrhizopsis matutina is an epiphytic herb with a single main growth, thin, spreading roots, and a fibrous stem, 50–120 millimetres (2.0–4.7 in) long.
[5] The specific epithet (matutina) is a Latin word meaning "of the morning" or "early",[6] referring to the short-lived flowers.
[4] In 2019, Jones and Clements updated their description and classification, instead including the species in the genus Bogoria, recognized as heterotypic with Rhinerrhizopsis.
[8] Bogoria matutina grows on rainforest trees, especially near forest edges, streams and roadsides.
