Bollengo

Bollengo is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Turin in the Italian region Piedmont, about 50 kilometres (31 mi) northeast of Turin.

It borders the municipalities of Torrazzo, Burolo, Ivrea, Palazzo Canavese, Magnano, Albiano d'Ivrea and Azeglio.

Bollengo Castle (Italian: Castello di Bollengo) originated under the initiative of the authorities of Ivrea, in competition with those of Vercelli.

In the following centuries, it changed hands among various owners, including Count and Senator Costantino Nigra, who continued renovation works.
