Bolton-on-Swale

Bolton-on-Swale is a village and civil parish in the Richmondshire district of North Yorkshire, England.

[1][2] The village is mentioned in the Domesday Book as Boletone and belonged to Count Alan of Brittany as Tenant-in-Chief.

Bolton Beck is a tributary of the Swale which passes underneath a small bridge at the north of the village.

The church is a Grade II* Listed Building built on the site of previous Norman and Saxon structures.

[11] The present building was erected during the early 14th century and was enlarged and restored by George Fowler Jones in 1859.
