[3] In 2019, 41 of its students were offered Oxbridge places; in 2020 the number was 51 and in 2021 it was 55 (7 more than Eton College, albeit it has twice the number of pupils[4] However in recent times the school has faced numerous public criticisms for its poor teacher working conditions.

In 2021, Yasmin Omar, a science teacher at the school won an employment tribunal after experiencing discrimination and harassment due to her multiple sclerosis.

Omar, who joined the school in 2018 shortly after her diagnosis, reported facing a hostile work environment, including denial of medical leave, placement on absence management procedures despite minimal sick leave, and being required to work beyond her contracted hours without adequate support.

The tribunal found the school had failed to make reasonable adjustments for her disability, resulting in discrimination and harassment.

[citation needed] The school was rated "outstanding" in its two most recent Ofsted inspections, which took place in 2012 and 2018.
