In 1985, Brazil competed in the 1985 South American Badminton Championships men's team event.
In 2022, the team entered the finals of the 2022 Pan Am Male Badminton Cup after upsetting the United States 3–0 in the semi-finals.

In 2012, Brazil won the South American Mixed Team Championships for the first time since their debut in 1984, defeating rivals Peru and Chile.
