Harris started playing for Wirral club Port Sunlight before signing for Everton in 1954 for just a £10 fee.
[1] Harris played for 12 years for Everton, notably partnering the more defensively minded Jimmy Gabriel.
Harris also returned to Cardiff to become assistant manager to Richie Morgan, a post he occupied for two years.
