Brighton Vitta Malasa

Brighton Vitta Malasa[1] is a Malawian who was Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Upper Shire,[2] one of the four Malawian Anglican dioceses within the Church of the Province of Central Africa.

[4] As Bishop of Upper Shire, he was succeeded by Right Reverend William Mchombo who was the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Eastern Zambia.

Mchombo was enthroned as Bishop of Upper Shire on 18th May 2024 at St. Peter and Paul's Cathedral at Mpondasi, Mangochi, Malawi.

The function was attended by Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera and Saulos Klaus Chilima, the President and Vice President of Malawi respectively He was born on 6th July 1976 and is Married to Esnart Malasa and they have four children; Siphiwe, Sarah, Shalom and Silas.
