Sir Bruce Lockhart Burnside (26 July 1833 – 11 August 1909[1]) was a Bahamian lawyer and politician.
John James Burnside,[2] one time Surveyor-General of the Bahamas[1][2] and his wife, Mary.
[1][2] Burnside returned to Nassau and established himself in legal practice.
[1] During the American Civil War, he served as a legal adviser to the Confederate States.
One son, Robert Bruce Burnside, was a judge on the Supreme Court of Western Australia.
