Budislav (Svitavy District)

Budislav is a municipality and village in Svitavy District in the Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic.

It lies on the border between the Upper Svratka Highlands and Svitavy Uplands.

Inside the built-up area is a set of two fishponds, supplied by a tributary of the Desná.

[3] In the mid-18th century, while non-Catholic religious practice was banned, multiple people from Budislav and surrounding villages went abroad and others were put on trial for heresy.

[4] After the issuance of the Patent of Toleration in 1781 by Emperor Joseph II, evangelicals achieved religious freedom.
