Bunceton is a city in Cooper County, Missouri, United States.
[4] The city was named for Harvey Bunce, an early county resident.
[6] In 1980, Bunceton elected the United States' first openly gay mayor, Gerald Ulrich.
Bunceton is on the Stevens Branch tributary of Petite Saline Creek.

Of all households 25.7% were made up of individuals, and 11.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
