The project was launched in April 2017 by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath.

It will pass through 7 districts of Uttar Pradesh i.e. (from north to south) Etawah, Auraiya, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Banda and Chitrakoot.
