Bundesautobahn 23

Bundesautobahn 23 (translates from German as Federal Motorway 23, short form Autobahn 23, abbreviated as BAB 23 or A 23) is an autobahn in Germany.

It runs largely parallel to the Bundesstraße 5; its main purpose is to connect the hinterland of Hamburg.

North of Heide, the A 23 becomes B 5 and connects Eiderstedt, Husum and the ferries to the islands of Nordfriesland to the autobahn network.

Krankenhaus means hospital Grückstadt and the ferry at Glückstadt are only signed southbound Nord means north Southern endpoint of motorway
