Buni (Urdu: بونی; also spelled Booni) is a town and the headquarters of Upper Chitral District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.
[1][2] The 2,500 m (8,200 ft) high Qaqlasht Meadows, which host a major festival in the region, are situated near the town.
[2] Through the glacial melting followed by heavy monsoon rainfalls, the region was severely affected by the floods during August 2024.
[4][5] The residents of Buni are Khos, and they speak Khowar which is spoken and understood throughout the Chitral Valley.
