Buried in Verona formed in 2007 by vocalist Brett Anderson, guitarists Mick Taylor and Katongo Chituta, bassist Scott Richmond and drummer Steve Rogers.
After the recording period in Melbourne, Steve Rogers was ejected from the group unceremoniously due to a serious back injury, which required surgery.

On 16 January 2014 the band announced that their fourth studio album entitled Faceless would be released on 7 March through UNFD and Artery Recordings.
In December 2015 Richie Newman announced on Buried in Verona's official Facebook page that he was leaving the band.
