Bushnell, Nebraska

Bushnell is a village in Kimball County, Nebraska, United States.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.23 square miles (0.60 km2), all land.

[6] The village is named after Cornelius Scranton Bushnell, a major figure in the development of the ironclads during the Civil War.

The racial makeup of the village was 96.8% White, 0.8% African American, and 2.4% from two or more races.

31.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 18.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

About 8.5% of families and 7.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including none of those under the age of eighteen and 12.8% of those 65 or over.

The annual Bushnell Day parade and festivities are held on the third Saturday in August.
