Buynaksky District (Russian: Буйнакский район, Kumyk: Шура якъ) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the forty-one in the Republic of Dagestan, Russia.
The area of the district is 1,842.09 square kilometers (711.23 sq mi).
