Buzi District

The area of the district is 7,329 square kilometres (2,830 sq mi).

[1] Since the 15th century, the area belonged to the Kingdom of Mutapa and was periodically subject to civil wars.

Buzi District was established in 1931, its administrative center was initially located in Nova Sofala.

The main agricultural products are corn, cassava, cowpea, peanut, sweet potato, and rice.
