Călățele (Hungarian: Kiskalota; German: Kelezel) is a commune in Cluj County, Transylvania, Romania.
It is composed of six villages: Călata (Nagykalota), Călățele, Călățele-Pădure, Dealu Negru (Bánffytelep), Finciu (Kalotaújfalu), and Văleni (Magyarvalkó).
The commune is situated in the northern foothills of the Apuseni Mountains, at an altitude of 704 m (2,310 ft), on the banks of the river Călata.
It is located in the western part of the county, in the Țara Călatei historical region of Transylvania, 15 km (9.3 mi) south of Huedin and 60 km (37 mi) west of the county seat, Cluj-Napoca.
According to the census from 2002, there was a total population of 2,671 people living in this commune.
