COVID-19 vaccination in Norway is an ongoing immunization campaign against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), the virus that causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), in response to the ongoing pandemic in the country.
[2] As of January 2022 the country offers both the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccine for the population over 18 years old.
[3] Men between 18 and 30 years old are also recommended to choose to take the Pfizer-BioNTech due to the higher risk of getting myocarditis and pericarditis with the Moderna vaccine.
[4] Norway is also closely monitoring side effects, with both reports from healthcare professionals and the public being registered in a common database.
This should allow for a good overview of the situation once the vaccine is distributed in the general population, as well as an efficient collaboration with other countries.
