Canadian Women's Amateur

It is open to women from all countries and is played at a different course each year.

The first championship was held from October 14 to 17, 1901, at Royal Montreal Golf Club.

Local member Lily Young had the best score on the first day, 99.

[1][2] Young reached the final with two comfortable wins where she met Mabel Thomson, of New Brunswick, who only won her semi-final at the 20th hole.

[4] The following women have won the tournament more than once: Three championship winners have been inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame: Dorothy Campbell, Glenna Collett, and Marlene Stewart Streit.
