The racial makeup of the township was 85.74% White, 7.56% African American, 0.18% Native American, 0.34% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 2.70% from other races, and 3.45% from two or more races.
36.70% of all households were made up of individuals, and 18.40% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
