Capri 16

The Capri 16, also called the Catalina 16, is an American trailerable sailboat that was designed by Frank W. Butler as a pocket cruiser and first built in 1987.

[1][2][3][4][5] The design was built by Catalina Yachts in the United States from 1987 to 2005 with 500 boats completed, but it is now out of production.

[1][2][4][6][7][8] The Capri 16 is a recreational keelboat, built predominantly of fiberglass, with teak wood trim.

It has a fractional sloop rig, a raked stem, a plumb transom, a transom-hung rudder controlled by a tiller and a fixed wing keel.

[2] In a 2010 review Steve Henkel wrote, "as sailboats of this size go, the cockpit is larger and the cabin is smaller than average.
