Carandaí

Carandaí is a Brazilian municipality located in the state of Minas Gerais.

[1] The city belongs to the mesoregion of Campo das Vertentes and to the microregion of Barbacena.

The main economic activities are services, cattle raising, milk and cheese production, small transformation industries, and the growing of flowers, fruits, vegetables, corn, coffee, potatoes, and beans.

There were 2 campuses of private institutions of higher learning with 168 students in 2005.
