Carlos Gustavo Maslatón (born 19 December 1958) is an Argentine lawyer,[2] financial analyst,[3] trader, bitcoin advocate,[4][5] influencer,[6] and former politician.

Originally active in student politics, he was elected to the Buenos Aires City Council in 1987 as part of the Union of the Democratic Centre (UCEDE).

[10] In 1983, he founded Unión para la Apertura Universitaria[11][12][13] which won the students' union elections in the Faculty of Law in 1987, 1988 and 1989.

[15][16] Ahead of the 2023 general election, Maslatón announced his intention to run for president as part of the La Libertad Avanza (LLA) coalition.
