Carolyn Terteling-Payne (born December 20, 1937) is an American politician who was the interim mayor of Boise, Idaho, from 2003 to 2004.
[1] In 1959, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with minors in psychology and French from the University of Idaho.
[1] In 2003, incumbent Boise mayor H. Brent Coles resigned after being charged with the misuse of public funds.
In February 2003, Terteling-Payne was appointed as interim mayor of Boise to serve the remaining term.
From 2004 to December 2006, Terteling-Payne was Idaho director of human resources under then-Governor Jim Risch.
