The Cassius Clark Thompson House is a historic residence on the edge of downtown East Liverpool, Ohio, United States.
Intending to build himself a house, he purchased a hillside lot on the southeastern edge of downtown, finding the site's view of the nearby Ohio River highly attractive.
[2] The house that he constructed is a brick structure with elements of wood and stone,[3] two-and-a-half stories tall.
The dominant feature of its architecture is a large tower at the front of the house: measuring three stories tall, it is crowned with an ornate wrought iron railing.
Most recent of these new additions is the East Liverpool Downtown Historic District:[1] when it was designated in 2001, it was composed of more than one hundred contributing properties, including the Thompson House.
