Catherine Anne Morgan, OBE, FBA (born 1961) is a British academic specialising in the history and archaeology of Early Iron Age and Archaic Greece.
She was Professor of Classical Archaeology at King's College London from 2005 to 2015, and director of the British School at Athens from 2007 to 2015.
Her doctoral thesis, titled "Settlement and exploitation in the region of the Corinthian Gulf, c.1000-700 BC", was completed in 1986.
[2] Morgan began her academic career as a Junior Research Fellow of Trinity Hall, Cambridge between 1983 and 1986.
[3][7] In the 2012 Queen's Birthday Honours, Morgan was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) 'for services to classical scholarship'.
