Cesare "Cece" Carlucci (December 30, 1917 – September 17, 2008) was an American professional baseball umpire.
After the war, Carlucci wanted to pursue a career in baseball but decided that he was too old to play.
But, he told friends, at that time MLB wanted big, physically imposing umpires, and Carlucci stood no more than 5'8" tall.
[2] During the 1961 season, the PCL announced that Carlucci's consecutive game streak was the longest in baseball history.
[10] Carlucci manufactured umpiring equipment that he sold through the company "Mr. Ump" in Lake Elsinore, California.
