Central Illinois

Agriculture, particularly corn and soybeans, as well as educational institutions and manufacturing centers, figure prominently.

Major cities include Peoria, Springfield (the state capital), Decatur, Quincy, Champaign–Urbana, Bloomington–Normal, Galesburg, and Danville.
