Châteauponsac (French: [ʃɑtopɔ̃sak]; Occitan: Chastel Ponçac), also known locally as Château Lorraine, is a commune in the Haute-Vienne department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in western France.
The village lies between the river Semme to the north and the Gartempe to the south, both flowing westward.
The Gartempe formed a deep valley, passing below the 12th century church.
