Warszewiczia coccinea

Warszewiczia coccinea (or chaconia, wild poinsettia, pastora del monte and pride of Trinidad and Tobago) is a species of flowering plant in the family Rubiaceae.

It is also found throughout Central America and the West Indies southward to Bolivia.

This small, evergreen ornamental tree is remarkable for its inflorescence (a verticiliaster of up to a dozen clusters)[1] with bright red bracts and inconspicuous yellow petals.

The Warszewiczia coccinea's habitat is lowland, forests and second growth.
