Chandwara (community development block)

It was home to 84,914 people as of 2011 (many of whom are cultivators or agricultural labourers), who are divided between 75 villages.

Koderma district occupies the northern end of the Chota Nagpur Plateau.

It covers 4,000 square kilometres (1,500 sq mi) in Koderma and Giridih districts of Jharkhand and adjacent areas in Bihar.

In the 1990s, when the Soviet Union was divided, the countries in the area stopped buying mica from India.

The entire family, including children, are involved in the illegal activity.

936 crore was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 20 February 2015.

The railway line passes through this CD block and there are stations at Pipradih and Urwan.
