Charles-Marie de La Grandière

Charles-Marie de La Grandière (Brest, 17 February 1729 — Rennes, 22 March 1812)[1][2] was a French Navy officer.

La Grandière was born to the family of a Navy Lieutenant.

[2] He took part in the Battle of Ushant on 27 July 1778, where he commanded the 64-gun Indien.

[4] He took part in the Battle of Cape Henry on 16 March 1781, where Conquérant was especially exposed and sustained severe damage to her masts.

[2] La Grandière was admitted in the Society of the Cincinnati for his participation in the War of American Independence.
