Charles Andrew Myers

[2][3] Born in State College, Pennsylvania to Charles Emory Myers and Christine Bidelspacher, Myers obtained his BA in economics in 1934 from the Pennsylvania State University.

[1] After his graduation in 1939, Myers started his academic career as instructor in economics and social science at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

He also served as charter member of the National Academy of Arbitrators.

[1] Myers was elected Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

In 1962 he was elected president of the Industrial Relations Research Association.
