Charles Reichel

Charles Parsons Reichel was an Anglican bishop and author[1] in the 19th century.

[2] He was born in 1816,[3] educated at Trinity College, Dublin and ordained in 1847.

[4] After a curacy at St. Mary's Church, Dublin he was a Professor of Latin at Queen's College, Belfast[5] from 1850 to 1864.

A son, Sir Harry Reichel, was the first Principal of the University College of North Wales, Bangor, and a Vice-Chancellor of the University of Wales.

During his career he held incumbencies at Trim, Mullingar, and Clonmacnoise.
