Charles S. Desmond

Charles Stewart Desmond (December 2, 1896 – February 9, 1987), was an American lawyer and politician from New York.

During World War I, he served as a second lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps Aviation.

In January 1940, he was appointed by Governor Herbert H. Lehman a justice of the New York Supreme Court to fill a vacancy.

He retired from the bench at the end of 1966 when he reached the constitutional age limit of 70 years.

Afterwards he lived at his farm in Eden, New York, resumed his private practice and taught at the University at Buffalo Law School.
