Darryl Adamson is the team's president, and Kyle Evans is the head coach of the franchise.

The 2011-12 Chase Heat entered their first season as a member of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL), as an expansion team.

The Heat also claimed the Okanagan/Shuswap Conference title after defeating the Osoyoos Coyotes in a best of 5 series, 3-2.

The Heat eventually lost to the KIJHL Champion Beaver Valley Nitehawks in a best of 5 series, 0-3.
