Chester, Wisconsin

The unincorporated communities of Atwater and East Waupun are located in the town.

A post office called Chester was established in 1847, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1918.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 960 people, 280 households, and 211 families living in the town.

There were 291 housing units at an average density of 8.8 per square mile (3.4/km2).

21.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
