The chestnut-breasted coronet (Boissonneaua matthewsii) is a species of hummingbird in the "brilliants", tribe Heliantheini in subfamily Lesbiinae.
Both sexes have a short, straight, black bill, a white spot behind the eye, and a notched tail.
