China Banknote Printing and Minting Corporation

China Banknote Printing and Minting Corporation (CBPMC; simplified Chinese: 中国印钞造币总公司; traditional Chinese: 中國印鈔造幣總公司; pinyin: Zhōngguó Yìnchāo Zàobì Zǒnggōngsī) is a state-owned corporation which carries out the minting of all renminbi coins and printing of renminbi banknotes for the People's Republic of China.

It uses a network of printing and engraving and minting facilities around the country to produce banknotes and coins for subsequent distribution.

The state-owned company, headquartered in Beijing's Xicheng District is the world's largest money printer by volume.

The Baoding facility is the largest facility in the world dedicated to developing banknote material[3] In addition, the People's Bank of China has its own printing technology research division which research new techniques for creating banknotes and making counterfeiting more difficult.

CBPMC reportedly produces currency for a number of other countries, including Thailand, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Brazil.
