Bolitoglossa arborea Taylor, 1941 Chiropterotriton arborea (Taylor, 1941) The arboreal splayfoot salamander (Chiropterotriton arboreus), or arboreal flat-footed salamander, is a species of salamander in the family Plethodontidae.
[2] It is endemic to Mexico where it is only found near its type locality near Tianguistengo in Hidalgo state.
Its natural habitats are humid pine-oak and cloud forests at elevations of 1,900–2,100 m (6,200–6,900 ft) above sea level.
It is threatened by habitat loss (deforestation and fragmentation).
