Chorley Building Society

The society has three branches, located on Foxhole Road and High Street in Chorley, and on Towngate in Leyland.

It became established on 7 March 1859 and was originally called The Chorley Permanent Benefit Building Society.

In those early days the Society only met once a month, when the subscriptions were collected.

The original name was then changed to The Chorley (£60 Shares) Permanent Benefit Building Society on 17 February 1897.
