[4] Brown scored his first NHL goal with the Capitals on March 22, 2014, against Antti Niemi of the San Jose Sharks.
[5] On April 20, 2016, Brown was recalled by the New York Rangers from the team's AHL affiliate, the Hartford Wolf Pack.
[6] After parts of two seasons with the Wolf Pack, Brown left North America at the conclusion of his contract with the Rangers, signing a one-year deal with German outfit, the Iserlohn Roosters of the DEL on July 19, 2017.
On May 8, 2018, Brown signed as a free agent with fellow DEL club, the Thomas Sabo Ice Tigers, on a two-year contract.
[8] Following four seasons with the Ice Tigers, Brown returned as a free agent to his original German club, Iserlohn Roosters, signing a one-year contract on June 22, 2022.
