The main terraced end (the North Stand) was situated behind one of the goals, and was the location for the majority of the home fans on match days.

The capacity in this stand could be increased using temporary terracing, such as when Carlisle United visited on Boxing Day, 2004.

On 17 July 2007, however, Morecambe announced plans to move to a new stadium in time for the start of the 2010–11 season.

By mid August 2010 the superstructure of a new Sainsbury's supermarket occupied the spot where the stadium once stood.
