Christy Young

Christopher Stephen Young (24 December 1878 – 6 October 1915) was an Irish hurler.

His championship career at senior level with the Cork county team lasted from 1901 until 1906.

[1] Young made his first appearance for the Cork senior team in August 1902 in what was the first round of the 1901 championship.

He became a regular member of the team and played as a forward and as a goalkeeper at different times during his inter-county career.

Young won his only All-Ireland medal in 1902, however, he made no appearance in the final but had played in the earlier rounds of the championship.
